"Rural Revitalization Strategic Plan 2018-2022" has been recently announced - China's rural ecological environment protection has received unprecedented attention.

On September 26, 2018, the Chinese Party Central Committee and the State Council issued the "Strategic Plan of Rural Revitalization, 2018-2022", which made important plans for the future development of rural area in China from various aspects. Among them, in respect to rural ecological environment, the concept of “Building ecologically livable beautiful villages” is proposed. In terms of how to put together an “eco-livable” rural area, the document has detailed out the terms such as “green development”, “strengthening resource conservation and utilization”, “clean agricultural production”, and “rural ecological protection and restoration”. It's foreseeable that in the future, there will be a large amount of capital investment and policy support in rural environmental protection, environmental pollution prevention, and green production technology in China. From the perspective of investment opportunities and participation of environmental protection companies, we believe that there will be more sewage treatment plant demands in China's rural area, procurement of small-size sewage treatment equipment/system, solutions around the protection of drinking water resources, soil conservation and restoration and the use of more environmentally friendly fertilizers.
Although more than 58% of China's population lives in urban areas, China still has nearly 600 million people living in rural areas. Moreover, rural China is the foundation of China's food production and social stability. In the course of development over the past few decades, investment in rural areas has lagged far behind the country’s GDP growth. Therefore, we have reasons to believe that the introduction of this national policy means that more policy support and capital investment will be used to support China's rural development.
2018年9月26日，中国党中央、国务院印发《乡村振兴战略规划2018-2022》，从多个方面就未来中国农村的发展做出了重要的规划。其中，针对农村生态环境问题，提出“建设生态宜居的美丽乡村”这样的概念。针对如何建设“生态宜居”的农村，该文件从“绿色发展”、“强化资源保护与节约利用”、“农业清洁生产”、”农村生态保护与修复“多个方面进行了详细说明。
应该可以预见，未来在农村的环境保护、环境污染防治、绿色生产技术等方面会有大量的资金投入和政策支持。从投资机会以及环保企业参与的角度，我们相信中国农村市场将会有更多污水处理厂的建设，小型化污水处理设备的采购，饮用水水源地的保护，土壤的保护和修复，更环保的化肥的使用等众多方面。
虽然中国已有超过58%的人口生活在城市，但中国仍有接近6亿人口生活在农村。而且，中国农村是中国粮食生产和社会稳定的基础。在过去几十年的发展过程中，对农村的投入远远落后于GDP的增长。因此，我们有理由相信，这一国家政策的出台意味着更多的政策扶持和资金投入会用于支持中国的乡村建设。
